A little fun fact for this Labor Day Weekend.

In the not so distant past of the 1970’s, the U.S. Department of Labor made the fashion forward decision of allowing women to wear slacks and pantsuits to work instead of skirts. I’m sure this was a welcome change during the snowy winter months in Washington D.C. And if you read the article below, it’s not shocking to find out that it was women who implemented this change. (Sorry guys, but many of you just don’t get it. 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Of course, this change pales in comparison to the changes the department has made for the working men and women in this country, like 40 hour work weeks, minimum wage and healthier working conditions.

As for me, I’ll spend at least part of my Labor Day Weekend looking to get back into the job market. Hope y’all have a great weekend and take care. ❤️
