According to the calendar, we are close to the end of summer. But the summer temperatures where I live in Southern California are not even close to ending. We don’t really have fall, except for a slight temperature drop at night. The days of September are about the same as August, low to mid 80s, with the first of September expected to be 88 degrees!

So rather than break out the sweaters and boots, I’m still walking the dog in shorts and t-shirts for at least the next 40 days. And I’ll be spending my self-care Sundays day dreaming about the fall colors and cooler temperatures in other parts of the country, or northern California.

Take care, and stay cool. ❤️

The feature image was taken by me (with a touch of photoshop) during one of our visits to the many lakes in Minnesota, where they do have fall.
