For some of us in the U.S., this weekend is about shopping, traveling and backyard barbecues. For others, it’s a time of remembrance. To mourn the loss of a loved one or friend that was killed while serving in the military.

This Self-Care Sunday post is dedicated to everyone who has received that heart breaking news of losing a loved one.

“Ceremonies are important. But our gratitude has to be more than visits to the troops, and once-a-year Memorial Day ceremonies. We honor the dead best by treating the living well.”
