For this self-care Sunday, my friends and I did some community outreach, which served both our friendship and the community.

Is anyone else tired of zoom?!

Our service project was to write some greeting cards to seniors that are living in adult care homes. Residents of these homes can feel lonely and isolated if they don’t have many visitors. So we hoped to spread a little cheer with some cute get well and encouragement cards.

Here’s a sample of the cute greeting cards we sent.

We met at the local school lunch tables so we could be outside and social distance with masks on. Then we got busy writing and talking. Okay, sometimes more talking than writing. But hey, it was so nice to be with my friends in person instead of talking to a screen! And this is a self-care Sunday after all. 😀

Once we finished our task, we said goodbye knowing that we wouldn’t see each other until our next small group zoom meeting. But this little gathering sure was fun while it lasted.

Until next Sunday, have a great week!
